Volunteer Opportunity – Administration, Fundraising & Community Support
We’ve Got You Foundation | Hervey Bay & Maryborough, QLD
Are you over 55, looking to stay active, learn new skills and make a difference in your local community?
We’ve Got You Foundation is a community charity dedicated to helping people who fall through the cracks and have nowhere else to turn. We mainly assist people who cannot access government-funded transport assistance and need help getting to essential medical appointments.
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic volunteer to join our team and help us grow our services across the Fraser Coast.
What would you be doing?
- General administration and office support
- Assisting with fundraising activities and community events
- Helping research and prepare grant applications
- Attending community stalls, expos and local events
- Promoting We’ve Got You Foundation and our services
- Assisting with social media, marketing and community awareness
- Helping build relationships with local businesses and community organisations
Who would suit this role?
Someone who:
- Enjoys helping people and supporting a local charity
- Has good communication and organisational skills
- Is comfortable using a computer, email and basic office programs
- Is happy to learn new skills and work as part of a small team
- Can travel to events around Hervey Bay and Maryborough as agreed
Previous administration, fundraising or grant-writing experience would be helpful, but a willingness to learn and a caring attitude are just as important.
About the opportunity
- Location: Hervey Bay and Maryborough, with some community-based activities
- Hours Flexible by agreement, with approximately 15 hours per week preferred
- Program: Suitable for discussion under the Centrelink volunteering program for eligible participants aged 55 and over
- Support: Guidance and support will be provided
