Something different today. The new sign for MG in Pialba. Had to unload it off a semi first thing this morning and put near where it was going. I then had to go look after Bunnings for 2 loads. Then back to MG to lift it up and help install it.

Another concrete sleeper delivery. This one was all me from picking up at Bunnings to site. I wasn't sure where they wanted them so I rang the installer. He wanted them under the carport as there was more work going on and he wanted them out of the way. I also contacted the owner and asked if they were going to be using the carport. They park a ute in there to get access to the garage. If I hadn't rung I wouldn't have put them where I did. Just goes to show, don't assume, ask the question.

I had to go make these sleepers safe. They were delivered from Brisbane. When the customer came home and saw what the driver had done, he immediately rang the company and asked for them to be delivered properly and made safe. The company called me as their driver was back in Brisbane. It's hard to believe he thought this was an acceptable way to leave them, the first 2 photos. They had already moved a bit and a couple of straps had come off. Lots of families live in this area with young children. I hate to think what could happen if a child was walking or riding past and the straps broke. It was quite a task and took about 15 lifts to get them sitting stable.

I had a trip away last weekend. I had to pick up this equipment in Laidley. It was being delivered to Bungadoo, which is between Bundaberg and Gin Gin. I knew it would be tight time wise doing in one day, so I decided to drive down to Toogoolawah on Friday afternoon. Saturday morning I headed to Laidley to collect. It lifted nicely and I was on my way in about 45 minutes. All up it took 10 hours on Saturday to complete job and return home. It was a long day on Saturday with a few challenges, but I got it done. Customer was very happy. 😊

It has been a busy year and next year is looking to continuethe same. I will be closed from 19/12/2025 until 12/01/2026. My phone and messages will be off until 08/01/2026. We are out of the country until then.

A pool I had to move on Saturday. It was 3.5 metres wide so we needed a pilot vehicle. It was quite a job getting it out of the yard and on the truck. It was also pretty tight at the delivery end as well.

First in truck engine removal job. This was quite a challenge as the drive shaft was still in the back of the gearbox. He also still had the radiator in. It was unbolted and pushed forward as far as possible. So with very limited room I had to lift the engine and gearbox up as one unit. That took a bit of adjusting on the chains to lift the front a touch higher. We needed to do that so it would then move forward enough to free from the tailshaft. Once out we put it on his stand, after modifying it a little. It is now going to have a rebuild and then I will be back to put it back in.
