⛽️ Why staying calm keeps Gunnedah moving.
We’ve all seen the jump at the bowser 30 to 60 cents in a matter of days. It’s enough to make anyone uncomfortable, but for our livestock transporters and farmers, it’s a serious hit to the bottom line.
The ALRTA is calling for government leadership, but here on the ground in Gunnedah, we have a role to play too:
Farmers : You’re the backbone of our region. Fuel is your lifeblood, and we know those tight margins are being squeezed tighter than ever.
Transporters: When diesel costs jump 20% overnight, it doesn't just affect the tank, it affects the whole food chain and our local supermarket shelves.
Our Community: The biggest risk right now isn't just the price; it’s panic. Buying only what you need ensures there’s enough in the tanks for the trucks hauling cattle and the tractors prepping the paddocks.
Let’s skip the panic-buying, keep our heads cool, and support the local businesses that keep our town running.
We’re all in this together. Let’s keep the fuel flowing and the wheels turning.
