Very happy to be able to support such a great charity!

Here is a stack of orders ready to be picked up to be sent to the northern part of our state. This represents the typical quantity we dispatch each week!

A caseworker from Launceston shared their experience:

“ i consider myself very lucky to get to witness the sheer joy that families express when they receive one of your packs, which you all miss out on. I cannot explain how grateful and thrilled this mum was today when going through what had been included for her children, items that she knew otherwise she would not be able to provide. She was so excited to be able to go through these with her kids when they get home from school, and know that they will be so grateful and excited to have the opportunity to have clothes that fit, and will help them to fit in with their friends and have what they need”.

A big thank you to our volunteers Michael, Andy, and Nigel, who go the extra mile by loading up their vehicles to deliver these orders to the amazing Empire Couriers. This Tasmanian business has for the last 3 years volunteered their time every week, free of charge, to distribute these items throughout the entirety of our state, ensuring that Tassie Mums’ service reaches every corner of Tasmania. Let’s give them a special thanks 🚛🧡👏🏻

Did you know there are a number of other organisations that do what we do across Australia?

We were fortunate to have Clair and James visit us from Tassie Mums recently. Clair was in town for the Australian of the Year Awards as she was awarded the 2024 Tasmania Local Hero Award for her work at Tassie Mums! 🎉

It was wonderful to exchange ideas and info about the different ways we each do things. We’re firm believers in not reinventing the wheel!

Now we just need to work out how to get ourselves to Hobart for a reciprocal visit so we can check out their wonderful work first hand!
