Just got a horse two days ago god love the owner for getting him out before the 60km fire 🔥 front come but he had an accident in the horse float . Please check all floats and if your not an experienced floater of horses get a second opinion 🙏🏼.

Sorry for the pics but it’s important for people to learn 😥

Bumble is an 8 year old mare and she had been out in the field in a nylon headcollar when she was unexpectedly caught on a bolt of a metal gate. As you can see it caused a very large wound when she panicked and tried to run! We are pleased to say that the wound healed very nicely after some good stitching work from Ben and Bumble can now be ridden again.

We agree with the comments about turning out in headcollars and the safety precautions that need to be taken but just so people know this was one of those unfortunate accidents that are so typical in the equine world. The horse was just popped in the paddock for a couple of minutes while the owner caught the other horse and is not turned out in a nylon headcollar usually!
