Clean, shiny, and ready to roll tomorrow with a big couple of weeks ahead for the BMS Pantech ✨

We’ve been trusted with transporting some very special prestige machinery for the first leg of an upcoming national release tour.

Over the next fortnight, we’ll be running the east coast for invite-only manufacturer drive days, with stops at Sandown, Sydney Motorsport Park, and Queensland Raceway 🏁

We can’t reveal what will be tucked away in the back just yet 🔒, but it’s significant enough that we’re genuinely excited to give them the smoothest and most discreet run we can.

That’s a wrap. Not really sure how I feel!

The Bitten STi has officially sold — ending a pretty big chapter that started as a street car off the show room floor in 2005, was sold when I went overseas for work, bought back when I returned, grew into a quick track toy, and eventually became a full-blown race car.

I just want to say thanks to everyone who’s been part of the journey — from turning spanners and offering advice, to showing up at events, chasing lap times, and supporting along the way. It’s been a massive effort over the 20 years a huge expense but I’ve genuinely appreciated every bit of help and encouragement and the time spent with mates.

Plenty of good memories, plenty of busted egos, and plenty of boost.

Time to reset, and see what’s next.

Question time.

I look at My105, and like my car, there are a lot listed for much less than what the parts would be to build them without taking into consideration R&D and labour.

Do you think:
a) There is no market for second-hand race cars as they are a personal journey and expression, so people want to start from the ground up, despite this costing more
b) Time Attack and other none homologated forms of motorsport are diminishing with regulating bodies pushing entries into categories that they control
c) Cars listed on My105, including mine, are just worth less than the owner wants to admit
d) There is just no money for any cars – new or old. Even the 1%’ers that race are broke and can't put food on the table.

Time Attack WRX STI EJ — built in 2022 and run for approx. 30 hours. The majority of use has been on low boost, with full spanner checks and oil changes after every single outing. This motor has delivered 800HP / 900NM, and is over-engineered to last.

So, I have deliberated over this since November, when I floated the idea of parting out the car. It is my absolute preference to sell the vehicle as a running package to reduce the risk of having an immobilised shell that is not much good for anything.

While some parts will sell in a heartbeat, there are also some parts that may never find a new home due to the extreme nature of the modifications that we have done.

As such, I have dropped the price of the car to what I think is an extremely reasonable number for what you get in parts alone, let alone knowing that it’s a stable, raceable package.

Listed per the My105 advert, the car is now only $115k - which is negotiable to the point of taking parts off the car that you may already own and want to reuse.

For Facebook, I will throw in a $2500 finder's fee for anyone who helps secure a sale of the entire car. If you're innovative and thinking of buying it yourself, mention the finder's fee, and you can take the cash for yourself, essentially taking another $2.5k off the advertised price!!!

In the meantime, I will start the Part Out EOI process described in November, noting that if the car sells as a complete package at any point, all EOIs will be closed off.

Head over to the EOI page and review the list of parts that you may want. While there, run a calculator down the asking price column, and you will see how good a deal $115k is!!!

The basics of the EIO will be:

Otherwise, as sad as it will be, an EOI for all parts will go live next Monday.

Our Story

Bitten Motorsport is Stephen Faulks (Driver) and his Wide Body Subaru WRX STi Time Attack Car. 2019 will see the car run at Morgan Park Super Sprints - B Series and Time Attack Queensland.

We have plans for an inter-state trip to SMP later in the year for World Time Attack Challenge to see what we can stop the clock at.
