Our Local Lands Services team has been doing an awsome job this week. They have been organising truck load after truck load of feed for our Flood affected Farmers requiring Emergency Fodder for their animals.
Jesse from JL Rural, Steve from Steve’s Tilt tray and Dave from Jones Creek Transport and Chloe Baker from LLS have all been working flat out to get the feed to where it’s most needed right across the District.
It’s sometimes quite hard to take in the destruction out there, as both Public and Social Media often only capture a small snippet of a situation during a news story or image.
However after being sent to some of the hardest hit places in the area , its the conversations we have with the Farmers and their Families throught the day that sheds a whole new light on both the tragic losses, and huge challenges they are facing just trying to keep their remaining animals alive, let alone the massive clean ups they are facing.
