Governess
Early Feb - December 2026
We are looking for a live in Governess to support our 5 year old daughter in her first year of schooling via The Walgett School of Distance Education.
Ideally this position is suitable for someone who would be firsthand a Governess and then be willing to assist with additional stationhand duties on farm or use the afternoons to study.
đź“ŤWe are based 80km west of Walgett NSW.
Your role would consist of:
* Supervise and assist with the daily school lessons.
* Liaise with teachers and Distance Education staff.
* Communicating back on the progress of our daughter.
* Support extracurricular activities and outdoor play.
* Occasionally assist on Fridays with other siblings around the homestead and station complex.
* Light household duties related to the children.
Requirements
* Current first aid
* Working with children’s check
* Drivers licence and own 4WD
* A passion for young children and a love of learning
* Ability to live and work in a remote setting
