Need to be somewhere at a set time?

For medical appointments, work starts, connections or other time-sensitive trips, booking ahead gives dispatch more visibility and more time to plan coverage.

Unexpected delays can still happen, but early notice always helps.

Why can a taxi sometimes take longer than expected?

The closest available car may already be committed to another booking, completing a longer trip, waiting at a pickup or moving back into the area.

Taxi availability can change quickly across Burnie, Somerset and Wynyard. A little context helps explain why a quiet-looking road does not always mean a car is free.

Cars are cleaned, serviced, fuelled, checked and repositioned throughout the day so we can keep the fleet moving.

Most of that work is invisible to passengers — but it’s what keeps a local taxi service reliable.

đź“ą Did you know our taxis are fitted with security cameras?

The footage helps protect both passengers and drivers and can be accessed when required for incident reviews or police investigations.

It’s one of the quieter pieces of technology helping make the service safer and more accountable.

đź’» Another technology upgrade is on the way.

Most of the changes happen behind the scenes, but the goal is simple — smoother dispatching, better communication and a more reliable service for both drivers and passengers.

We’ll share more as the rollout gets closer.

Call us? Use the app? Ask someone else to book it?

We’re interested in how people actually prefer to book so we can keep improving the process.
