We were proud to support Greater Shepparton City Council 's “Out and About” community experience last weekend, an initiative showcasing some of the best the town has to offer. Stops included Emerald Bank, home to the iconic Museum of Vehicle Evolution - MOVE Museum, and Victoria Park Lake, where one of Shepparton's famous artistic cows can be found. It’s a fantastic way to give back to the local community while supporting the region’s continued growth.

Opportunities like this help shine a spotlight on our local towns, strengthen partnerships, and keep positive conversations moving around improving local transport, including expanding the town bus network and enhancing school bus stop infrastructure. Council has been a great supporter in these areas, and we truly value the collaboration.

On Saturday, we were pleased to welcome members of the BCSV: Bus and Coach Society of Victoria ahead of the unveiling of the new vintage bus exhibition at the Museum of Vehicle Evolution - MOVE

The group enjoyed a behind-the-scenes site tour and a delicious BBQ lunch. To top off the visit, guests were treated to rides in both a newer model bus and one of our classic vehicles, a fantastic way to experience the evolution of our fleet firsthand.
A big thank you to Colin Schram for delivering an insightful site tour and putting on a fantastic BBQ lunch.

It was a great day all round, with BCSV members thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to get up close with some of the buses and coaches. Thank you for visiting, we loved having you!

Bus Safe - school bus safety program continues to make a positive impact in our community!

Over recent visits, we’ve had the pleasure of educating more than 566 students on essential bus safety awareness and safe travel practices, helping students build confidence and understanding around public transport safety.

A special thank you to Andy Black for his fantastic work presenting the BusSafe sessions and engaging students in such an interactive and meaningful way.

The BusSafe program is designed to teach students how to travel safely around buses, at bus stops, and on public transport, creating safer journeys for everyone in our community.

We are incredibly proud of the positive feedback received from schools and students, and we look forward to continuing to deliver these valuable sessions throughout the year.

An important step forward for Dysons

Today, we’ve announced that Dysons has entered into an agreement for Kinetic to acquire 100% of our business.

After more than 70 years serving communities across Victoria and New South Wales, this is a significant milestone in our journey. It follows careful consideration by our Board as we position Dysons for the future of public transport.

Kinetic brings the scale, capability and investment needed to support our next phase of growth. Just as importantly, we share a strong alignment in values: safety, service, and a deep commitment to our people and the communities we serve.

For our customers, partners and passengers, it’s business as usual. Our services, contracts and standards remain unchanged as we move through the approvals process.

We’re proud of what Dysons has built over the past seven decades, and confident this next chapter will strengthen our ability to deliver sustainable, high quality transport for the future.

We’re proud to share a major milestone for Dysons.

Dysons has successfully secured 14 routes in NSW Trainlink's recontracting process, significantly expanding our services across southern New South Wales.

This achievement builds on our long-standing experience delivering reliable, high-quality regional transport and will strengthen connections for communities across centres including Wagga Wagga, Albury, Griffith, Cootamundra, Bathurst, Dubbo, Canberra and Eden.

The new contracts commence 1 July, and our team is committed to ensuring a seamless transition and great passenger experience from day one.

A huge thank you to our people and partners who made this possible. We’re excited to continue serving regional communities with safe, reliable and customer-focused transport.

We officially launched our Biggest Morning Tea fundraising this morning in the best way possible, a Big BBQ Breakfast serving up crowd favourite egg & bacon rolls. The day rolled on into the afternoon with plenty of great conversations, generosity and interest in the hamper raffle and tea-themed merchandise.

It was fantastic to see so many people getting behind the cause so early, including a generous donation from Garden State Mulching Services A huge thank you to everyone who joined in, including the Dzine team, who enjoyed their E&B rolls in between their work on electrifying the Bundoora depot.

This is just the beginning - together, we can help Cancer Council Victoria raise much-needed funds for vital cancer research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy.

Dysons are excited to be the first bus operator in Victoria to officially launch Bus Safe - school bus safety program kicking things off with a visit to the preppies at Thomastown Meadows Primary School

BusSAFE is a hands-on program designed to help students feel safe, confident, and prepared when travelling on the bus.

It combines simple, practical lessons with real-life experience. In the classroom, students learn essential safety skills like staying alert at the bus stop, using seatbelts correctly, and showing respect to drivers and fellow passengers. Then comes the best part: stepping onboard a real bus to explore, ask questions, and see how it all works in action.

By building these habits early, we’re helping create safer journeys not just for students, but for the whole community.

Our first session was a fantastic success, and we can’t wait to bring BusSAFE to more schools.
