What an incredible day at the WA Mack muster where every moment was a testament to exceptional organization! 🤩

It was truly uplifting to celebrate the magnificence of trucks and momentarily escape the world's chaos, especially with fuel prices weighing heavily on our minds ⛽️.

But the highlight of the day for the BBT Family was sharing our pride in our fleet after a decade of dedication in the Towing industry, finally taking time to showcase the fruits of our labor, and earning the top spot for Best Heavy Recovery Vehicle 🚛. WA Mack Muster and Truck Show

🚨 E‑Rideables in Busselton – Quick Reminder 🚨
Busselton Police have had an increase in calls about Electric Rideable Devices (ERDs), so here are the key points everyone should know:
⚡ What counts as an ERD?
Small electric devices (like e‑scooters) designed for one person, with brakes, max speed 25km/h, and under specific size/weight limits. Anything bigger or faster is not an ERD and may be treated as an unlicensed motor vehicle.
🚦 Where can you ride?
An ERD can be ridden on a carriageway, except for:
❌ Roads with dividing lines
❌ One‑way roads with multiple lanes
❌ Roads over 50km/h
👤 Who can ride?
Riders must be 16+.
🏎️ Speed limits:
10km/h on footpaths
Up to 25km/h on roads/shared paths
🪖 Helmets:
Helmets are mandatory.
🌙 Night riding:
Must have front & rear lights and reflectors.
📵 No phones:
Using a phone while riding = $500 fine ($1000 for aggravated use such as texting etc.).
🍺 Drink & drug rules apply:
ERD riders can be RBT‑tested and face the same penalties as other motorists.
🚔 Non‑compliant devices can be impounded like the ones pictured which were seized today.

This year marks 10 years under new ownership for Bunbury Busselton Towing, and we couldn’t have reached this milestone without the incredible support around us.

A special shoutout to our longest standing and Busselton original Robert Voigt who has been with us on this crazy ride not only a staff member but a part of both our family forever ❤️

FYI SOUTH WEST ROAD USERS 🚙🚌🚓🛻🚐

We have had so many questions around this, so here it is for you all to read.

Unfortunately as this time the new regulations only apply to the Perth and Peel Regions. BUT it is effecting us here in the South West.

So we are asking you to be VIGILANT and double check WHO you sign your car over too. Don’t feel pressured to sign on the roadside!

BREATH, TAKE 5 as it WILL save you $$.

✅ Always call your Insurance Company first
✅ Ask where your car is going and to be supplied with an address
✅Ask for a Quote
✅Nothing is FREE so don’t believe the comments “This won’t cost you”
✅Ask what their daily storage rates are

We here at Bunbury & Busselton Towing are the ONLY contracted company to

- RAC Insurance
- NRMA / IAG Group, just to name a few...

Do not get confused with other towing companies saying they are also contracted OR that they work FOR US!!!..

We are held accountable to those in which we hold contracts, but other are not.

The Towing Services Bill 2024 is to create a safe, fair and efficient crash towing industry for Western Australians has passed State Parliament and will take immediate effect.

Spotter fees that are advertised, offered or paid to members of the community for reporting a crash,are now banned with penalties up to $45,000.

New regulations will cap the price for the standard towing and storage of crashed light vehicles in Perth and Peel.

These regulations will also require that charges for all other crash towing and storage across the State are to be reasonable.
