Big shout out to Dion and the team at Mortlake Roadhouse tonight! Great feed as always...but the shower on the other hand...
..is amazing. I didn't think they could improve on the great set-up there...but get this...not only have they added a handheld showerhead... they've even invested in a proper shower chair!

Not all of us are as agile as we once were... whether it be due to age, illness or injury... some of us find the roadhouse shower experience challenging at the best of times! Sometimes...quite honestly...it's easier not to bother! When you have two broken legs like mine...and all you want is a damn good shower...but it's just too bloody hard! Well in steps these legends again...just giving that little bit extra to make things tolerable for what can sometimes be a very challenging week or weeks on the road!

Funny story...
Last time I was under this chute...well it was two owners of this site ago...
I was driving for Dan at the time...pulled under to load the ol' 404 up...got out of the cab...and must have leaned on the door lock as I got out...and locked myself out...with the keys in the ignition...engine running...under the chute...with a queue of trucks behind me. Wasn't the best of days!
Luckily someone knew the fella up at the garage here in town and he was able to get into her without too much trouble! 😅
And before you keen Kenworth boys point it out...yes...I could have gone in through the bunk door...if the bloody locker box on the LH side wasn't bloody locked too! 🤦🏻‍♂️ Needless to say that my new habit in a KW was to always unlock that LH box...just in case!
