Two free shuttle bus services are now operating to the Recovery Centre at the Ballina Surf Club in East Ballina.

🚌Route 694 South Ballina to Ballina.

We are seeking new volunteer drivers from Tweed, Byron and Ballina shires. The role involves assisting people who can't access mainstream transport options, by driving them to various destinations eg medical and other appointments.
Volunteer drivers have the flexibility to determine when and how often they wish to drive.
We are registered as a COVID Safe organisation and have clear processes in place to protect our team and clients. As a provider of aged care and disability services, all our team members must be fully vaccinated (2 + booster).
TBBCT is approved as a volunteer organisation for government and job search agencies and our volunteers are reimbursed for costs.

Celebrating our Community Transport Volunteers continued today 😀

This years theme is Better Together! Community Transport Volunteers make a difference to peoples lives everyday ✨

At Tweed, Byron & Ballina Community Transport we are proud of our 130 volunteers helping to deliver much needed services for community ❤️

It was wonderful to catch up with our Ballina and Byron volunteers today, and have a bit of fun with thank you all for everything you do!

It's National Volunteers Week and we want to give a massive shout out to TBBCT volunteers - the drivers, bus attendants and coordinators, as well as the Kentwell Community Centre receptionists.

Each individual brings their own skills and personality to their role, but all are kind, caring and motivated to support their community.

Our volunteers are the face of TBBCT and we are immensely grateful for the service they provide. The regular positive feedback we receive from our clients, suggests the community values them highly too.

There have been both highlights and significant challenges over the last couple of years and the commitment our volunteers have demonstrated has been nothing short of remarkable.

Thank you all for what you bring ☺️🚗🚌⭐

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic person to volunteer for our Ballina shire youth transport service YAXI.

We would like to find an enthusiastic volunteer to safely transport young people from their homes or with group booking from a bus stop to various events and social outings. Typically locations range from Ballina/Byron to Gold coast theme park, however we offer transport as far as Brisbane/Coffs Harbour.

The hours of transport are varied, and bookings can be made with up to three days notice, therefore we are looking for someone flexible and local to the Ballina Shire.

You will be using a community transport vehicle and will need a standard car drivers licence.

If you enjoy working with young people, are passionate about social inclusion and have an outgoing and can-do attitude, we would love to hear from you.

TBBCT meet Centrelink guidelines as a non-profit organisation for approved voluntary work. A National Police Check and Working with Children Check will be carried out prior to volunteering with us.

Out of pocket expenses are reimbursed at $40 per day.
