Happy !
Today we celebrate women everywhere, but especially in the transport industry. To the truck drivers, mechanics, ops teams and owners you're amazing.
A shout out to the women of Team Stanes-
Tash: Driver of Kendra. Roadside mechanic. Bringer of laughs and good times. She may be small but she is mighty! Can chain an axle in the middle of nowhere, get herself out of sticky situations and still do a delivery with a smile on her face. Queen of the drone footage now too..
Shirley: OG Team Stanes. Mum to Mark, wife to Bruce, nanny to Matilda and Maggie. Gatherer of food and coffee for the boys still to this day, as well as helping out with office jobs and childcare.
Kylie: Boss lady. Mum to Matilda and Maggie. Wife of Mark. Bringer of chaos, sometimes calm and of course the motherly love. Always up for a chat, dance, sing along. Provider of encouragement and backside kicking when we need it. Always running to track the freight. Queen of post-it notes and the tap tap tap of emailing and messaging. Expert operator of windscreen filing system and writer of the infamous chicken scratch.
Matilda and Maggie: Team Stanes Next Gen! They dominate the office. They have everyone wrapped around their little fingers. Eaters of treats and bringers of entertainment and sass. Not sure if they will run the show or drive trucks yet but Tilds enjoys shredding things in the office and leaving beautiful drawings. Maggie likes to give people side eye and makes them work for hi-fives. They bring light and laughter and endless potential.
Robyn: Our distant office support! Creator of invoices, payer of employees. She lurks in the background tidying everything up and tracking purchase orders like a boss. Sender of funnies to brighten our day.
Sam: Resident crazy person. Manager of humans and animals. Attempts to bring order yet brings colour and chaos. Forklift operation is questionable. Decipherer of chicken scratch. Aggressively helpful like an overzealous hummingbird. Always knows whats going on.... eyes everywhere.
All jokes aside. Stanes Transport relies on every single one of their employees, male and female. Each person brings their own unique skills and attributes to our team. International Womens Day is to celebrate the women in the trenches who keep everything moving. Keeping house and making sure everyone is taken care of. We celebrate each and every one of you and wouldn't be where we are today without you. Hats off to all women in transport today and every day.
