Hallett Concrete has been servicing Adelaide's market with pre-mixed concrete since 1978. We have steadily grown in stature to become Adelaide's leading independent supplier to the market. We supply to the domestic, commercial and industrial markets, and specialise in supply to the technically demanding pre-cast market, for which South Australia is highly regarded. It began life as "Budget Concret

e", and commenced with six second-hand trucks and a small plant. In 1985, one of the two original partners decided to sell his share of the company to Hallett Brick, and as a result the business name was changed to Hallett Concrete. Hallett Brick was then taken over by Pioneer Building Materials, and the original partner and majority shareholder decided to purchase Pioneer's share of the business. The business continued as a relatively small and profitable operation for a number of years, predominantly supplying the domestic market with concrete. In 1996, Hallett Concrete became part of the MSP Group of Companies, which supply a comprehensive array of building products to the market. The business has continued to grow and develop over the years, to the point where Hallett Concrete is now recognised as the leading independent supplier of concrete in South Australia. Incorporating 6 fixed concrete plants, 2 self contained mobile batch plants with over 50 concrete trucks and 20 trucks for aggregate, sand and cement supply.

Brilliant effort by Pace Concrete and Construction and our Hallett team this morning! Massive 615m3 pour delivered in 5.5 hours using 18 agi trucks along with 2 pumps from Victor Concrete Pumping for the Pike Constructions Pty Ltd project - Clarke Energy - Australia - new head quarters at Thebarton.

Hallett Concrete is looking for dedicated yard hands assisting the Plant Supervisors. This is a great opportunity for those more interested in fixed plant operations in a busy production environment.

To be successful in these roles you will need:
• Strong commitment to safety, health & environmental
responsibilities
• Competency in loader operation
• Sound mechanical aptitude to assist with basic plant
maintenance
• Flexibility to work Saturdays and to turn your hand to various
tasks

AGITATOR DRIVERS

We are looking for experienced Agitator Drivers with a can do attitude.

To be successful in these roles you will need: -
• Strong commitment to safety, health & environmental
responsibilities
• HR (Heavy Rigid) licence (essential) - HC licence desirable
• Experience driving either a Concrete Agitator or Rigid/Semi
Tipper is desirable but successful applicants will be trained in
all areas of concrete delivery
• Commitment to presentation - as the frontline of our concrete
business our people and our fleet have high standards of
presentation.
• Flexibility to work out of normal working hours including
weekends as required

Always great to get out to the Barossa and catch up with the crew from Groundwork Plus.
MATES in Construction is a registered charity and relies on donations and funding provided by supporting organisations within the construction industry to pay for the su***de prevention programs that they provide. Hallett Concrete decided to get involved with Mates in Construction by actively supporting and raising funds and awareness through a program where businesses purchased a Hallett Concrete diamond. We then badged up a brand-new Hallett Concrete agitator truck with the MATES in construction logos and supporting company logo as the agitator diamonds. Hallett Concrete would like to thank Groundwork Plus for supporting this initiative and supporting MIC. The support of local South Australian business’s like Groundwork Plus means MIC can continue to work with the construction industry to save lives.
