Happy New Year !! I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas with Family and Friends & enjoyed a bit of a break.
I would like to thank everyone for their continued support over the last 6 months of me being out on my own. It’s been a great 6 months, rather hectic, but with minimal dramas, which is always a good thing. I’m looking forward to working with you all again in 2025.
Let’s hope the New Year is a year of good cattle prices and great seasons.
The holiday is over, it’s back to work, a load to Oakey Abattoirs today, first job for 2025..

Road Trains, Road Trains and more Road Trains… the boys can’t get enough, next thing they will forget how to back a single 😂😂
They have been mixing it up with a few different loads. Kenny has been carting modules and big round bales of cotton and Lance has been carting fibreglass posts to Auburn and just so Lance doesn’t forget how to cart cows I slotted in a Road Train load down to Teys Condamine..

Well here it is half way through February already…. We’ve had a very busy start to the year with cattle being moved just about everywhere, Tuesdays have been hectic carting into Dalby Sale with cattle numbers up for the start of the year… At last we have managed to get the pig trailer back on the road with a new crate and a coat of paint, it looks so good behind the little DAF, although I’m not sure she was impressed having to tow it over the dusty hills at Auburn a couple of times last week 😂 it’s not looking as shiny & new now…

That was quick… Christmas is over & the New Year is here already, so back to work we go!
Today Lance shifted a skidder on the drop deck while I went for a peaceful drive in the country at Mt Perry to deliver some cows… a nice cruisey day to kick off 2023.

If you wondering why you haven’t seen Kenny driving the Mack of late, we have sold her.. she gone to her new home in SA towing triples from Adelaide to Darwin.. After spending my covid isolation time cleaning & polishing her up, she didn’t take long to sell.. she was looking a million bucks as Kenny drove her out the CCC gate for the last time. We wish the new owners many more kms of trouble free driving..
Don’t panic... we still have the Volvo to get the job done 👍🏼

The cattle are loaded and on their way to the Brigalow Bush Carnival, for the rodeo events, head down to the Brigalow rec grounds for a guaranteed day of fun for the whole family !!

After a hectic few weeks with works cattle, Auctions Plus cattle, both of us having Covid & Nerida managing to get run over by a Speckled Park steer it looks like this week is going to be a bit slower.
Today was the easiest Tuesday we’ve had in a while, with only 2775 head booked in for tomorrow’s sale at Dalby, we only had 1 load in each and home before dark!
