The Salisbury Beach got back to 30th Street this time last week and told us she’s not ready to go into storage mode again so off she went on Tuesday with another PRR car (that’s not her pal the Colonial Crafts this time) to the West Coast via NY and CHI again with a week layover.

Westbound this morning in Indiana again!

Dan Cupper, a railroad historian found these New England newspaper snippets about the Salisbury Beach from a long time ago.

Mr. Tom Pearson from Los Angeles worked for 17 years to get the Beach back up and running. Unfortunately Tom passed away from pancreatic cancer shortly after he got the Beach running again. The car sat on a siding in East LA for several years and the future didn’t look to bright for it before Susan and I found it and were able to add it to our fleet.

Tom did great work on this car and we hope he’s proud that the Salisbury Beach continues to roll on 😉
