Idaho has passed a new law that will eliminate non-domiciled CDLs in the state. House Bill 667 was signed on March 26, 2026, and will take effect July 1, 2026.

The law removes provisions that allowed Idaho to issue CDLs and learner’s permits to non-resident drivers, including those from other states and foreign countries. Going forward, drivers will be required to complete the full CDL process within Idaho rather than relying on permits issued elsewhere.

State officials will also stop recognizing certain out-of-state or foreign learner’s permits under the updated law.

🚨 FMCSA Just Yanked 9 ELDs Off The Approved List 🚨

Here we go again…

FMCSA just removed 9 electronic logging devices from the approved list for commercial trucks. If you’re running one of them, you’re done with it. Immediately.

Drivers using those ELDs have to switch to paper logs right now. Yes… paper. Like it’s 1995 again.

Carriers get 60 days to replace them before it turns into violations and headaches nobody wants.

Imagine thinking you’re compliant… rolling through scales confident… then finding out your ELD is basically a paperweight.

This is what happens when trucking gets run by software updates and spreadsheets instead of common sense.

Check your unit. Double-check it, Because the last thing you need is getting parked over a device that was “approved” yesterday and banned today.
