Leonard chalks every edge and checks it against the rule, then places each piece so the checks line up across the finished jacket. You'll never notice it when it's done right, and that's the point.

Measurements become lines. Lines become a pattern. The pattern gets cut in brown paper, and only once it's right does the cloth come out. It's slow on purpose. This is where the fit is decided.
