Union Cab of Madison Cooperative Worker-owned co-op since 1979. Operates 24/7, includes wheelchair accessible taxis.

In 1979, drivers mechanics and dispatchers joined together to form a worker owned cab company. Our vision is to serve the community in such a way that we are considered as a sustainable asset and valued resource by all. Our mission is to create jobs at a living wage for better in a safe, humane and democratic environment by providing quality transportation to the greater Madison area.

Union Cab’s Democracy in Motion program offers FREE rides to and from the polls throughout Dane County on Tuesday, August 11th.

Polls are open 7 AM–8 PM.

Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available.

No surge pricing. No rideshare app required. Just a local, worker-owned cab co-op ready to help you get there. Call when you're ready. Poll workers can schedule in advance. I'f you need an accessible vehicle, you can also call ahead.

SERVICE UPDATE: Williamson Street and South Baldwin Street are currently open to traffic, and Union Cab continues to serve residents, workers, visitors and businesses throughout the W***y Street neighborhood.

Conditions in the area have changed quickly over the past several days. Our drivers will continue following current street access and safety conditions, and pickup or drop-off locations may need to be adjusted if streets become temporarily blocked again.

Please allow a little extra time when traveling through the area. For help arranging the safest and closest available meeting point, call Union Cab Dispatch at 608-242-2000.

What a weekend. 💛

Union Cab was proud to be part of La Fête de Marquette again this year—showing up, pitching in, enjoying the music, and spending time with the community we serve every day.

A huge thank-you to the Union Cab members who volunteered their time and represented the co-op throughout the festival. We’re grateful for every person who stopped by, said hello, shared a ride, spun the prize wheel, or simply helped make the weekend feel like Madison at its best.

511 YES votes.
63 no votes.
89% in favor.
