Union Cab of Madison Cooperative Worker-owned co-op since 1979. Operates 24/7, includes wheelchair accessible taxis.

In 1979, drivers mechanics and dispatchers joined together to form a worker owned cab company. Our vision is to serve the community in such a way that we are considered as a sustainable asset and valued resource by all. Our mission is to create jobs at a living wage for better in a safe, humane and democratic environment by providing quality transportation to the greater Madison area.

Big things are happening on the North side…

Union Cab is proud to be part of “City Connections,” a public art project by Madison Public Art Project featuring local artist Amy Zaremba.

Amy is creating a mural on the facade of our headquarters, shaped directly by the voices of the Madison community.

Through free pop-up sessions, folks can share photos and short audio recordings about what connection means to them.

Those stories will help guide the final design and even become part of the artwork itself.

We’ve already had some Union Cab folks participate, and we’d love to see more of our community show up.
