Seeking urgent temporary help for my dog Kahlo — any leads appreciated 🙏
Kahlo and I have been fighting through a very long and complex medical battle these past months. Recently, his food and water intake has dropped significantly, which is extremely concerning. I have a vet appointment scheduled for Monday, but in the meantime, I am desperately trying to create a shift for him before things get worse.
At this point, I believe part of his struggle may be connected to being stuck in the same environment where he has been sick for so long — creating a kind of negative association that’s now affecting his appetite and hydration. He often perks up when we’re in new places, but he shuts down again when we come home.
I am looking for someone who might be willing to let him stay for a short period (a day or two) — ideally with a yard, or simply a different safe, calm space — to see if this environmental change might help break his current cycle.
I fully understand this is a big ask, but this may help give me critical insight before Monday’s vet visit. Financially, I’ve already spent nearly $10,000 trying to save him, but I’m happy to contribute what I can to anyone willing to help.
