Job Summary:
· Transporting General Freight OTR
Work Schedule:
· Four weekends off with the flexibility of one or two weekends OTR.
Compensation:
· $1,600 to $1,900 per week

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
· Participate in route planning and meet all pickup and delivery schedules
· Retain fuel/toll receipts
Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
· Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
· Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
· Report defects, accidents, or violations
Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit
Responsible for punctual load pick-ups and deliveries
Obtain signatures, warehouse scans, or any necessary electronic communications required to confirm and complete deliveries with clients
Communicate with dispatch as needed
Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
Always ensure vehicle is kept clean
Notify owners and/or dispatch of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
Adhere to company rules and regulations
Make safety a priority at all times
Requirements/Qualifications:
· Proven work experience as a Truck Driver
Must be willing to travel (local, intrastate and/or interstate
Driver must be flexible with work schedule (some weekends while OTR included)
Ability to be on time and reliable; ability to meet deadlines
Knowledge of/compliance with DOT regulations
· Ability to drive long hours and travel OTR regularly
· Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
· No recent moving or driving violations
· Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
· Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
Pass DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals
Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid Class A license
No DUI within the past 10 years
No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 2 years, no major accident within 5 years.
No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
Valid Class A CDL, with minimum 2-year experience
Good driving record (will be verified)
Skills
Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, ELD, etc)
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
