Hurricane Melissa has strengthened into one of the strongest hurricanes ever recorded in the Atlantic. It is expected to have a devastating impact to Jamaica and other Caribbean nations. As such, the City of Hollywood has launched a coordinated relief effort to help gather vital supplies, donated by City residents and business owners, we are proud to say we have donated.
Items will be shipped to impacted countries as soon as conditions allow. Requested items include tarps, bottled water, flashlights, sleeping bags, batteries, trash bags, work gloves, boots, non-perishable food, personal care products, and first aid kits. Please note: Used clothing and linens will not be accepted.
Items can be dropped off daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at all City of Hollywood Fire Rescue stations:
