SEAFOOD FESTIVAL TRAFFIC & ROAD CLOSURES
The Hampton Beach Seafood Festival is almost here! As our community prepares to welcome thousands of visitors, the Hampton Police Department wants to make sure everyone is aware of upcoming traffic changes and road closures.
Beginning at approximately 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 11, the following traffic changes will take effect:
• Ocean Boulevard: Closed from the area near Mrs. Mitchell’s to H Street.
• Ashworth Avenue: Two-way traffic from the area of Nudd Avenue south to H Street.
• A–G Streets: Access to Ocean Boulevard will be closed at the Boulevard.
• Parking: On-street parking will be restricted throughout the festival area. Parking on A–G Streets will also be impacted. Please pay attention to posted parking restrictions.
Sunday 5K Road Race
On Sunday at approximately 9:00 a.m., a 5K road race will travel from the festival area north to 5th Street and return. Drivers should expect runners, increased pedestrian traffic, and temporary traffic impacts along the route.
Please be patient with officers, event organizers, and public works crews as traffic patterns are established and later returned to normal.
If you're traveling through Hampton Beach this weekend, allow extra time, watch for pedestrians, follow directions from officers and event personnel, and never drive distracted or impaired.
The Hampton Police Department is proud to work alongside Seafood Festival organizers and our public-safety partners to help provide a safe and enjoyable weekend for our residents, businesses, and visitors.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to Hampton Beach. Enjoy the Seafood Festival safely and responsibly.
