Today is the race against the clock. For the next 36 hours we are on a race to save lives. What does that look like? It looks like truck loads of straw and dog houses. Generators for rural shelters. Heaters for shelter offices to stage . Staging safe houses and stalls to remove animals from crisis this weekend . It means meeting after meeting with shelter teams and our officers we work with regularly to plan. Rescue isn’t just a purpose it’s a promise . It’s we will be there when it gets hard . The storm rolls in so do we. Am I tired ? Hell. Yes. We just came off 3 large scale felony cases that took every space we had . It’s been a mountain every single day. Our fosters are full, our funds are low… but it didn’t change the purpose or the promise. We have done it over and over so I’m betting on us again. This family never bows out quietly when times get hard. We dig. So today I’m asking you dig with me. Every Friday it’s five Friday and we use those funds to run for the week.. today it’s a little deeper . We need every single dollar we can find. You call, we respond.

can’t or won’t? . We are at max capacity. Our medical fund is on the floor. Our bodies are tired. Our hearts are ragged today. Rescue isn’t meant to be convenient . Definition means save from distressing or dangerous situation… so that’s what we are doing. If I ever become the rescue that looks the other way while shrugging and saying can’t I will shut it down. They didn’t choose this hell and they deserve better .. so inconvenient or not we run. This family vowed to be the ones who will run into dark and know its hell and stay until there’s a shred of light. So today we are in the Dark. We will break our hearts for theirs to be restored. HELPING ABUSED CHILDREN AND ADULTS BY REPORTING ANIMAL CRUELTY

Abusers of children, elders and vulnerable individuals won’t likely boast about or admit to their abusive behaviors. However, law enforcement studies have indicated that these abusive individuals often admit to…even brag about…their maltreatment and abuse of animals.

Perhaps these abusers don’t believe that animal abuse is a serious matter or, perhaps, they believe that their local law enforcement agencies have little interest in pursuing animal abusers. Whatever the reason, we need to pay attention to any and all admissions of animal cruelty.

Additionally, those working with young children should be alert to reports, from these children, about frequently “disappearing” pets and/or repeated animal deaths in their home.

While pets do wander off and many sadly die, and while animals do get injured from time to time, repeated instances of missing, deceased and/or injured pets could be an indication of existing abuse of family members and may serve as a warning of future violence.

It is critically important that community members report concerns regarding any type of abuse and recognize the link between animal cruelty and family violence.

This punishment shows America is finally done tolerating cruelty to animals.

A Georgia man has been sentenced to 475 years in prison after being found guilty in one of the most horrifying dogfighting and animal abuse cases the country has ever seen. Investigators discovered starving, injured, and brutally mistreated dogs who had endured unthinkable suffering.

Authorities said the scene was so shocking that even seasoned officers struggled to describe it. Many of the dogs had broken bones, open wounds, and signs of long-term torture. Some didn’t survive, but those who did were rescued and brought to safety.

The judge made it clear that this sentence was meant to send a message. If you choose to hurt animals, your punishment will match the cruelty you caused. This ruling is now being praised across the country as a turning point in animal protection laws.

Rescue groups say the surviving dogs are already showing signs of healing. They’re learning how to trust again, getting medical care, and finally experiencing what love feels like.

People everywhere hope this case becomes a warning that ends dogfighting for good. Because every dog deserves protection, and every abuser deserves real consequences.

STAT transported 25 dogs to a better life! Please help continue to make this happen. The team that has devolved around this rescue is determined to save as many as we can. Look below for ways to help! Oh…and it’s $5 FRIDAAAAY!!!

I can’t show you their faces. I can’t tell you their names. I can’t tell you where they come from or details of why. I can only share that they are ours. 25 lives saved. 25 lives that lived in the pit of hell. This is one picture of the “house” . This was where a dog dug their own house once theirs eroded away . This life pulled 40 lb chain into that dungeon daily. emaciated body and all. laying there under ground … praying someone would find them. They found you. Chains were dropped, justice is served handcuffs are on , and you are safe. I will never let the monsters find you again. ❤️ thank you to the swift action of the police team on this case we served beside . Now we need you fam. In HUGE ways. We couldn’t afford major medical intakes. We set the ground work on this case that we would only take 6 and non medical. Upon arrival on scene they found a second location of animals and they were suffering. There isn’t a day I will walk this earth knowing I could have saved a life and I didn’t… so we did what we always do. We said yes. We worked all night. Somehow I know we will figure this out, these animals are all evidence so will have to be held in program. We need funds and Foster’s immediately. Today is critical level . I wear many hats. Today I got to wear two of my favorites at the same time repping K9 Responder Academy and Forgotten, Now Family Rescue

Absolutely awe struck at the force of will from these teams today.

We had the privilege of joining forces with and to conduct two operations back to back to help get over 50 dogs out of harms way.

These dogs are situated in shelters that flood regularly, and are expected to do so again this week.

We moved more dogs than we anticipated and somehow made it work, because that’s what FNF does.

Highlight of the day was watching FNF’s leadership find a sick puppy essentially at deaths door, and coax her back to life. That little pup has a chance now, as do dozens of others because of what they all made happen today.

This is what real animal rescue looks like, and it’s amazing to be a part of.

We’ll have lots more to show and share soon, and some amazing dogs to feature that will be looking for their forever homes.

Over the next few days, STAT will be partnering with and K9 Responder Academy to mobilize on another big rescue operation in SC. Some of the local shelters are flooding and we’re aiming to save as many dogs as we can.

Boarding these dogs costs us $30 a day minimum. If you can foster one of the local pups that would be huge. If you can donate, even better.
