When you care for large animals, it helps to know who you can call before you ever need to.

Keep the contact information for your veterinarian, boarding facility or barn manager, and trusted afterlife care provider somewhere easy to find. Knowing your options ahead of time means you have fewer details to figure out when emotions are already running high.

It is not about expecting the worst. It is about being prepared to care for your animal every step of the way.

Taking a quiet moment to reflect under the trees. Remembering every beloved horse and furry friend we've had the honor of caring for.
We've been caring for a lifetime.

Anyone who has loved an animal knows that they become part of the family. That is why the work Dont Fret does has never been only about handling the practical side of a difficult situation.

It is also about recognizing that there is a person on the other side of that call who may be carrying a lot in that moment. After more than 20 years, that part of the work still matters just as much as anything else.

Taking care of large and exotic animals rarely happens alone. Owners rely on veterinarians, farms, boarding facilities, transport providers, and other professionals who each play an important role in keeping things running smoothly.

After more than 20 years of working with animals and the people who care for them, we know how valuable those relationships can be. Having dependable people you can turn to makes all the difference, especially when circumstances do not go as planned.
