Tower Transit Singapore

Tower Transit Singapore Tower Transit Singapore puts a personal touch on world-class bus service. Moving people, never buses. We've taken steps to work towards that vision.

Tower Transit operates public buses in London and Singapore. Established in the UK in 2013, we became the first bus operator to win a 5-year contract under the Singapore government’s bus contracting model in 2015. Tower Transit Singapore (TTS) has since doubled in size, operating about 60 bus services and over 700 fully electric, hybrid and diesel buses on behalf of the Land Transport Authority. W

e have a workforce of about 1,700 employees and are the anchor operator of the Jurong East, Bukit Batok, Yishun and Sembawang bus interchanges. TTS believes that for public transport to be truly public, it must be inclusive. We've hired people with disabilities as inclusivity officers to champion disability inclusion on our buses and at our interchanges. We also conduct the Public Bus Confidence Course (PBCC) to help people with disabilities gain confidence to take the bus, and the Public Bus Inclusivity Course (PBIC) to equip commuters with skills to help others. Tower Transit is part of the Kelsian Group, Australia’s largest integrated land and marine, tourism and public transport service provider. Today, Tower Transit Singapore and Thye Hua Kwan Nursing Home Ltd officially launched the Calm Cabin at Bukit Batok Interchange, with Senior Minister of State for Law and Transport, Mr Murali Pillai officiating the launch ceremony.

Designed as a safe and calming space within a transport hub, the Calm Cabin supports commuters who may experience sensory overload, anxiety or disorientation while travelling. The space features soothing visuals, calming sounds and sensory-friendly elements to provide comfort for neurodivergent individuals, persons living with dementia and caregivers.

We also commemorated this meaningful collaboration with an MOU signing ceremony this morning.

A heartfelt thank you to SMS Murali Pillai for gracing the event and supporting efforts to make public transport more inclusive and accessible for all.

We would also like to thank our community partners, Eden School / Eden Centres for Adults / Eden Children's Centre / AAS, SPD and MINDS, for being part of this meaningful initiative and journey with us. 💚

We are proud to announce that our Managing Director, Winston Toh, has been conferred the Medal of Commendation at the NTUC May Day Awards 2026 this evening.

This prestigious award recognises leaders in senior management who promote and support the Labour Movement’s goals of improving workers’ wages, welfare, and work prospects.

This award validates TTS’ "People Moving People" service motto. We believe that by caring for our staff, we inspire them to care for our passengers. As the foremost champion of this philosophy, Winston ensures that our staff are cared for and treated as individuals - not merely resources or capital - with their own circumstances and aspirations.

“I am deeply honored to receive this award. My sincere thanks to the National Transport Workers' Union for its partnership in creating a positive work culture at Tower Transit Singapore and advancing the wellbeing of our employees,” said Winston.

A lost child on one bus, her parents on another and the team that brought them back together.

It was a split second that turned into every parent’s nightmare. A little girl boarded Service 969 at Woodlands Avenue 7, thinking her parents were right behind her. In the rush of the crowd, they were separated.

When Bus Captain Alfian heard a child calling out for her mum and dad shortly after departing, he immediately stepped in. He brought her to the front of the bus to keep her safe and comforted her while alerting our Bus Operations Control Centre (BOCC). As a father himself, the situation struck a deeply personal chord.

“I have two young children around her age, and I could only imagine how frightened she must have felt," said Alfian.

He had a hunch the parents might be on the bus behind, Service 965.

He was right. Behind him, Bus Captain Arif was driving Service 965 when a worried couple rushed onboard. They had just missed the bus their child had boarded. Understanding the urgency of the situation, Bus Captain Arif did his best to safely close the gap.

In BOCC, Service Controllers Jason and Irfan coordinated in real time between both buses to ensure a seamless reunion. The plan was set: both buses would meet at the next stop along Gambas Avenue. For Service Controller Irfan, moments like these are guided by a simple principle he carries with him every day.

“My wife always reminds me that once I start my shift, it’s about doing good for others wherever I can. That stayed in my mind throughout the incident, and I’m just grateful we were able to help bring the family back together safely,” said Irfan.

Moments later, the doors opened and a family was made whole again.

This is the heart of what we do. Beyond the routes and the timings, it is about the people we move and the teamwork required to keep them safe. A huge well done to Bus Captains Alfian and Arif, and Service Controllers Jason and Irfan for their quick thinking, empathy and teamwork.
