Francisco Motors Corporation is offering cheaper electricity-powered modernized traditional jeepney.

The e-jeepney by Francisco Motors costs P985,000, which according to the company is way cheaper than other modern jeepneys that cost P2 million to P3 million.

Its jeepney features an electronic door on the right side, a ramp for people with disability (PWD) and senior citizens, an aircondition, and a CCTV, among others.

Francisco Motors also said drivers and operators can avail the jeepney for only P50,000 as the downpayment, which can also be paid via installment.

Additionally, the P280,000 equity subsidy from the government can be deducted from their balance.

"'Yung mga jeepney natin, it's part of our identity, it's part of our culture diba? Ang gaganda ng jeep natin mga makukulay. 'Yung mga foreigners part ng bucketlist nila na magpa-picture sa jeepney, so bakit natin tatanggalin 'yun?" said Francisco Motors chairman and CEO Elmer Francisco.
