The Old Camper Company 'HECTOR' 1966 VW SPLITSCREEN 13 WINDOW DELUXE

The gorgeous little Hector, an authentic 1966 VW Splitscreen Deluxe.

'Hector' an authentic 1966 VW Splitscreen 13 Window Deluxe Camper (seats 4/5); 'Barney' 1974 VW Bay Window Deluxe Microbus (seats 6) and 'Roobarb' 1977 VW Bay Window twin sliding door (seats 3). Hector is a left hand drive and started life in the Wolfsburg factory in Germany in 1966. He then was exported to America and spent many years as a taxi in New York. He then found himself over here in Blig

hty and has in his time been a drag racer, camper van and all round good egg. When we adopted him around 10 years ago he still had the evidence of his previous life, but we loved him just as he was. He went on many camping adventures and even survived a holiday in Devon when there were high winds and horizontal rain for about a week! Due to his lovely little face and his adorable nature we were asked if he would be the wedding car for my nephew's wedding and that's where it all began....

'BARNEY' 1974 VW BAY WINDOW DELUXE MICROBUS

We adopted 'Barney' 4 years ago. He is 1974 Bay Window Deluxe Microbus has had just one owner but when he sadly passed away a few years ago his daughter left Barney in our care. It was very emotional and when she waived him off there were tears in her eyes and ours too. We promised her that we would look after him, give him a little make over and that he would have a lovely new life as a wedding vehicle. We simply adore him as I am sure you will do too.

Our campervans, or as some people would say "our metal children" have, in our opinion, their own personalities. They have been part of our lives for many many years and we love sharing the love 🤙

🌞WOW what an amazing day🌞🩷HAYLEY & GARY🩷 We knew when we first met Hayley at an Open Evening at The Tractor Barn that their wedding would be fantastic and it certainly was. Traditional church wedding. Mum and bridal party in Barney and Hayley and her dad in Hector. Keeping with wedding traditions, Hayley was given a lucky silver sixpence by her sister which she had in her shoe, a button from her mum and the something blue 💙? Hayley's nails of course in those killer heels!

Hayley and Gary "Fletch" Fletcher made the best entrance ever at The Tractor Barn , drinking each from a bottle of V***e Cliquot 🍾🥂and walking into ACDC's Thunderstruck 🤘 EPIC

Can't believe I managed to match musical timing perfectly to the champagne cork popping 🤩🤭

🔔Church weddings with bells🔔We love them for lots of reasons but particularly for the bells. The bell peal begins when the couple are married 🥳 so we get to know precisely when to get everything set up for the couple's "Just Married" departure ❤️

When the ceremony is without bells, as we're outside we have to keep our ears peeled and listen intently for the cheers and applause 👏

SPECIAL REQUEST for those couples without bells please could ensure that your guests raise the decibels and cheer VERY loudly as it would help us no end 😄
