Today's fourth journey took us from Loughborough to East Midlands Airport for one of our lovely regular clients.

This time, it's not a holiday or business trip, but a trip across to Dublin to enjoy none other than Metallica live in concert! 🤘🎶

It's always great to see our regular clients, and even better when they're heading off to something they're really looking forward to.

✈️ Busy Morning Across the Fleet 🚗🚗

Today's second journey saw our other Mercedes E-Class heading from Beeston to Birmingham Airport, helping our clients start their travels in comfort and style.

Meanwhile, the third trip of the day had me collecting from Breaston, Derby and heading over to East Midlands Airport, as our clients set off for a well-earned break in beautiful Kefalonia. 🇬🇷☀️

With multiple vehicles on the road and airports busy as ever, it's another reminder that holiday season is well underway.

✈️ Early Morning Airport Collection 🚗

This morning's first pick-up saw us at East Midlands Airport, collecting a client arriving from Cyprus and heading home to Lincoln.

With the flight landing around 30 minutes behind schedule at 2:00am, we were already monitoring the arrival and waiting nearby, ensuring a smooth and stress-free collection despite the delay.

On behalf of one of our trusted suppliers, the client also received a complimentary executive upgrade, making the journey home that little bit more comfortable after a late-night flight.

✈️ Early Starts and Late Landings 🚗

This morning began with a collection from East Midlands Airport, bringing our client home to Nottingham after a late arrival.

Although the flight landed around 12:30am, there were delays getting through passport control. Fortunately, that's all part of airport travel and no issue for us — we simply monitor the flight and wait for our clients to make their way through when they're ready.

After a quick turnaround, it was on to our second job of the morning.

A 3:00am pick-up from Burton upon Trent to East Midlands Airport on behalf of one of our trusted suppliers, with the client receiving a complimentary executive upgrade as they headed off on a business trip.

✈️ Early Start, Happy Travellers 🚗🌅

This morning's pick-up was a bright and early 3:30am start from Ilkeston to East Midlands Airport for some of our lovely regular clients.

They were heading back out to the Canary Islands for some well-deserved sunshine, and it was great to see them again and have a catch-up before their holiday got underway. ☀️🏝️

The roads were quiet, the luggage was loaded, and before most people had even thought about getting out of bed, they were already on their way to warmer climates!

Tonight's pick-up sees us heading to East Midlands Airport to welcome back one of our lovely regular clients.

After landing from Turkey at 1:20am, we'll be waiting nearby and ready to help make the final part of the journey home as smooth and stress-free as possible.

✈️ Back to Normal... Well, Almost! 🚗

With Download Festival now wrapped up and the tents packed away, it's back to what we do day in, day out — helping clients travel smoothly to and from airports across the UK.

Tonight's journey saw us at Birmingham Airport, providing a meet and greet service inside the terminal on behalf of one of our trusted suppliers.

After a long day of travelling, our client was met inside the terminal, assisted with their luggage, and then enjoyed a comfortable journey home to Carlton, Nottingham.

🎸 Download Festival 2026 — A Quick Message From Airport Carriages 🚗🎶

We are now fully booked for Download Festival transfers and would like to thank everyone who has chosen Airport Carriages this year.

If we weren't able to help this time, we hope to see even more of you next year!

Over the last few days, we've done our best to help other drivers and visitors with information on the safest drop-off routes into the festival. From what we've seen, the drop-off arrangements appear very similar to previous years, and the signage is clear and well-positioned.

We hope this information has been useful not only to fellow chauffeurs, taxi and private hire drivers, but also to parents, grandparents, friends, and first-time visitors making the journey.

A few reminders for everyone travelling:

⚠️ Roads around the festival will be significantly busier than normal.
⚠️ Please avoid walking on access roads wherever possible and use designated pedestrian routes.
⚠️ Use licensed and professional taxi or private hire operators.
⚠️ If you experience issues with a licensed driver, details of their licensing authority should be displayed on their badge and vehicle.

For our fellow drivers:

🚕 Hackney carriage drivers — please ensure meters are used where required.
🚗 Private hire bookings — pre-booked prices should be honoured.

Today's first transfer took us from Cropston, Leicester to East Midlands Airport on behalf of one of our trusted suppliers.

Our client was heading off to Portugal to begin a busy work week, attending a conference and representing their organisation overseas.
