Michael travelled down to Boroughmuir Park yesterday with these boys from Deeside Rugby - you did yourselves proud and fought hard! 🏉💪🏻

So..... it wasn't to be our day down in the capital yesterday. On another day of high winds and driving rain, the boys fought hard with the forwards taking the game to a big Boroughmuir pack, but the relentless defence and lack of pe*******on in attack ultimately led to a close 24-14 defeat to the Edinburgh side, who play two leagues above Deeside.

This group of boys can still hold their heads high in reaching the Quarter Final stage of the National Cup competition and reflect on falling agonisingly close to bringing off what would have been a memorable result. The faces in the photo tells its own story of how disappointed the whole squad (both playing and traveling support) were at losing this game.

Onwards and upwards as we continue National League 2 business next SUNDAY with an away fixture to National 1 team Highland in phase 2 of the competition. A 3pm kick off at Canal Park. 💪🐗
