Are you passionate about helping people in your local community?

Join us today as an Ambassador.

Talking to local groups about a service they can use to enable their members to get out and about, on our new JoinBookDrive service. Our minibuses, are fully wheelchair accessible, are parked at convenient locations near you and available to hire online, day and night.

As an Ambassador you will approach community groups, clubs, charities, schools, colleges any non for profit organisation that can benefit. You will be fully trained and supported. Do please get in touch for further information contact Claire Smith on 07410 440 437 [email protected].

We have completed the first week with the team of CUL volunteers ... it is going great! They have been out and met service users and stakeholders in all three of our London Depots. They are having a fantastic time ... learning about HCT and the great work that we do!

Hackney Community Transport are hosting the UCL Global Citizenship Programme for our second year! This is incredibly exciting ... linking directly with volunteer week, we have eight under-graduate students who are volunteering between the 1st - 10th June, across our London depots - Waltham Forest, Hackney and LaSCoT. They will be meeting service users, partners and stakeholders for feedback, testimonials and case studies. This will really help HCT to continue to develop our services to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the communities that we work in.

Hackney Community Transport held a stall at the Connect Hackney Launch for Ageing Better on Tuesday 17th May. It was a huge success, with referrers and potential volunteers registering with us. We are currently looking for more individuals to start our training programme in mid-June to support Hackney residents to gain the confidence and skills to get out and about on public transport, reducing the risk of social isolation
