Road closed: Linwal Avenue, Houghton on the Hill
Date: Friday 29th May to Tuesday 2nd June 2026
Service affected: LC7

The closure on Linwal Avenue was not meant to affect the LC7, but since it closed at 11:30am (29th), the closure has crossed over the St Catharines Way junction, so our buses our unable to get through. From 11:30 on 29th May to 4pm on 2nd June, the LC7 is unable to serve the normal route through Houghton on the Hill and will need to operate via A47 in both directions.

Stops missed: Main Street, North Way, Thomas Close, Linwal Avenue stops in Houghton on the Hill.

Road Closed: Station Road, Heckington
Date: Monday 25th May to Monday 29th June 2026
Service affected: 37

Due to station road being shut in Heckington, buses will be on the following diversion.

37 service (morning) – Normal route to Helpringham (Nags head), then turn around in the Green (triangle road on the right), then follow the road to Scredington, at T-junction after village turn left, at the next T-junction it will follow the Mareham Lane into Sleaford, where it will turn right over the Railway line and continue to the Market Place.

37 service (afternoon) – Normal route to Market Place, then it will turn left at the Railway crossing, onto Station Road (s/p Scredington and Helpringham), through Scredington and Helpringham, where it will turn around at the Green (triangle), back on its normal line of route.

Stops missed: Fen Road in Little Hale, Magna Village Hall and Grove Street in Great Hale, and all stops in Heckington.

We are pleased to announce, we have been awarded the contract to operate the 27 service between Stamford and Peterborough, via Wittering, Wansford, Ailsworth, Castor, Longthorpe, from Monday 1st June.

The service passes through villages including Wittering, Wansford and Castor and is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. It will operate from 07:00am Monday to Saturday, with six journeys into Peterborough and four towards Stamford every day, with journeys to and from The King's School, Peterborough, during School Terms.

Road Closed: Pasley Road (Eyres Monsell)
Start Date: Thursday 14th May 2026
Service Affected: 40S

UPDATE: As of 15:30 on 22nd May, the road has reopened and the 40S will now be operating normal route through Eyres Monsell.

Service 40S is currently on diversion due to a burst water main on Pasley Road in Eyres Monsell.

Towards Beaumont Leys: Buses are following the normal route until Sturdee Road where instead of turning right onto Pasley Road, buses turn around after "The Exchange" bus stop and go back along Sturdee Road, turn left onto Saffron Lane, then turn left onto Glenhills Way, then turn right onto Aylestone Drive to rejoin the normal route.

Towards Hamilton: Buses are operating the reverse of the above.

Road Closed: Evington Drive
Date: Monday 27th April to Tuesday 26th May 2026
Service Affected: 22, 22A, 22E

Due to a closure on Evington Drive, the 22/A/E services will be on diversion.
From City Centre - they will operate the normal line of route to Evington Road, but instead of continuing onto Evington Drive, it will divert onto Evington Lane, then left onto Wakerley Road, re-joining the normal line of route at the Ethel Road junction.

From Evington - it will operate the reverse of the above.

Bus Stops missed: Valley Road, Kilworth Drive, Mayflower School, Plymouth Drive.

Road Closed: Checketts Road, Leicester
Date: Saturday 9th May 2026
Service affected: 40N

Checketts Road will be closed between 10am and 3pm. During this time, the 40N service will be on diversion.

From General Hospital - it will operate the normal line of route on Marfitt Street to the Melton Road/Checketts Road junction, but instead of heading over the junction onto Checketts Road, it will divert right onto Melton Road, at the Sainsbury's crossroads, it will turn left onto Watermead Way, down the slip road to Red Hill Circle, left onto Loughborough Road and right onto Thurcaston Road, back on its normal line of route.

From Glenfield Hospital - it will operate the reverse of the above.

Bus Stops missed: Checketts Road and Bellholme Close on Checketts Road, or Bath Street on Loughborough Road.

Road Closed: Brand Hill & Church Hill, Woodhouse Eaves
Date: Wednesday 29th April to Friday 1st May 2026
Service affected: 154

Due to a closure on Brand Hill and Church Hill, the 154 service will be unable to serve Woodhouse Eaves and will be on diversion.

From Leicester - it will operate the normal line of route to Main Street, Swithland, and Brand Lane, but instead of turning left onto Brand Hill, it will continue on Brand Lane and School Lane, re-joining the normal line of route at Forest Road, Woodhouse.

From Loughborough - it will operate the reverse of the above.

Date: Monday 20th to Wednesday 22nd April 2026
Service affected: LC17

Due to an emergency closure on Blaby Road, South Wigston, near Tesco, the LC17 will be on the following diversion.

LC17 to Thorpe Astley – will start on Leicester Road, Wigston as normal, but instead of continuing on Leicester Road, it will divert right onto Aylestone Lane, left onto Glenborne Road, onto Gloucester Crescent to Saffron Road, left onto Saffron Road to St Thomas Road, then right onto St Thomas Road, back on its normal line of route.

LC17 to Wigston – will operate the reverse of the above.

Bus stops not served: Long Street, Council Offices, Guthlaxton College, Landsdowne Grove, South Leicestershire College, Leopold Street.

Due to emergency works taking place by National Grid, the LC7 service cannot currently serve Main Street, Houghton on the Hill, and is diverting via the A47. We are unsure how long the road will be closed, but will keep you updated.
