🎄 Merry Christmas from Holty Paws & Hooves 🎄

As the year comes to a close, we’d like to say a sincere thank you for trusting us with your animals; from dogs who believe every walk should be longer, to horses who keep us humble, and the cats who very clearly remind us they’re in charge.

Being part of your animals’ routines is something we truly value. Whether it’s muddy boots, early mornings, or the occasional side-eye from a cat, we’re grateful for the trust you place in us and the lovely clients we get to work with.

We wish you and your four-legged family a relaxed, Happy Christmas and a New Year full of good health, fresh air and plenty of treats ✨

'Betty Blue' (that's the name we've given our horsebox - more of that in a later post) has been very busy over the past few months, carrying an ever-increasing number of clients and their owners far and wide.

First up was when Betty took Elvis to an event in Malvern (she brought good luck as Elvis podiumed!). Later, she took Teddy and to a couple of week-long pony camps in Somerset. She also had a week in South Wales where she got to meet new friends in a the lorry field whilst her hirer rode on the beautiful, sandy beaches.

In between times, Betty has been helping with a few yard relocations and other domestic movements.

If you or your friends are in need of some help with transportation from here to there, outings or visits, just get in touch. We now even offer 1/2 day hire from Tuesday to Thursday (subject to availability).

You heard this 'straight from the horse's mouth'...

This idiom’s most widely accepted origin comes from early 20th-century horse racing circles. Tipsters would claim they had inside information on a horse so good that it came straight from the horse itself, implying utmost reliability.

Our own approach to horse care is all about trying to understand what Bella, our own horse, is saying to us, in her language, because it HAS to be easier for us to begin to learn to understand 'horse' than it would be to expect her to learn how to speak English. So when we put into practice what we've learned so far, we can develop a more holistic relationship together.

From this, we can perhaps offer more than just 'hay and water', we can enrich her life with experiences and adventures, and we all benefit from these together.
