Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various destinations, ensuring timely service and excellent customer satisfaction. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the smooth operation of our logistics services.
Duties
Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods across designated routes.
Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise time and fuel efficiency.
Load and unload parcels, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt.
Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times during deliveries.
Requirements
Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, including loading and unloading parcels of varying sizes.
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Good organisational skills for route planning and time management.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality in meeting deadlines. This role is ideal for individuals who are organised, safety-conscious, and possess excellent driving skills, ready to contribute positively to our delivery team.
