🐻🧡 Another very special passenger on board with Big Bear Equine Transport this week.

We had the pleasure of taking this handsome chap to Rainbow Equine Hospital for treatment, before returning a few days later to bring him safely home for some well-earned rest and recovery.

It’s always a good sign when the staff know your name… hearing “Good morning Big Bear!” certainly made Me smile! 😄🐴

He was an absolute superstar in every sense of the word — calm, brave, and a pleasure to travel with from start to finish. ⭐🐴

Wishing him a speedy recovery and lots of rest over the coming weeks. We’ll be cheering him on every step of the way! 💪🧡

Following guidance from Rainbow’s Equine Vet Hospital, we have now added a thermometer to our onboard first aid kit as part of our continued commitment to horse welfare and safe transport.

We kindly ask that if your horse is due to travel and is known to have a raised temperature or is showing any signs of illness, please be honest and let us know prior to transport. This allows us to follow any additional safety and biosecurity guidelines where necessary, helping to protect all horses travelling with us.

🐴 Who actually uses a horse transporter? 🤔

I had an interesting call this morning asking exactly that… and it got me thinking.

The honest answer?
Pretty much anyone who owns a horse at some point.

At 9pm last night, the phone rang —
“Can you please collect my colicking horse and get us to the vets urgently?” 🐴💔

Without hesitation, we were on the road to Hambleton Vets 🚚💨, doing what we do best — providing calm, reliable, and safe transport when it matters most.

Thankfully, thanks to quick thinking and acting fast from everyone it’s looking like this lovely mare is going to be just fine 💛🙏

🐴 Busy Bank Holiday at Big Bear Equine Transport! ☀️

Today we safely transported six lovely horses and ponies on a yard move, just 20 miles down the road. Three shuttle runs later and everyone is happily settled into their new home 🏡

There’s something extra special about moves like this—when horses get to go from a yard to their owner’s own home. We wish them all the very best in their new chapter 💛

With the bank holiday sunshine shining down, it’s been a perfect day to be on the road. Long may this weather continue! ☀️

We’re now home for a quick disinfect and turnaround before a short vet run, then hopefully a chance to enjoy a bit of sunshine in the garden 🌿
