From yesterday Newcastle airport effectively took away the free drop off zone. It is offered however, off site with a courtesy shuttle to the airport which they know most people wont go for as the shuttle I believe is half hourly.

Our airport charges for 2026 from any address in Ashington or Newbiggin as a result will be £35 plus the fee to drop off point of choice you choose.

main terminal £5
Short Stay £3
Callerton Parkway free.

This is for a standard estate car (up to 4 people and 4 cases) on a direct run (one pick up one drop off basis).

The 5 or 6 seater price is £5 extra.

You will still find we are competitive price wise within the area. These are flat rates (don't alter based on time of day ) across 24hrs 7 days per week.
(exception being Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day prices on application).

Important information relating to airport bookings:

Luggage:

Luggage is everything you are taking with you that needs to go into boot space.

Booking 4 cases, then coming out with 4 cases the size of coffins, 4 hard shell cabin cases and pushchairs will not fit if we have sent a vehicle with boot space for 4 cases. you need to book the vehicle that has the boot space to accommodate all of your luggage.

Flight numbers:

On return bookings we ask for flight number, and airport the flight is coming in from for a reason.

If you tell us your flight is due to land at 01:30 from Cyprus but don't tell us the flight number we can only track to flight that lands closest to 01:30.

If on the morning of your arrival and there is no flight from Cyprus landing at 01:30 but one is at 01:20 we will track that and send the driver accordingly....if that flight comes in early and the flight you are actually on (01:50 also from Cyprus) comes in late, and we cant get hold of you because you are actually still in the air, your taxi will not be there for you. We are not in the business of having drivers, plan sleep and get out of bed to sit for an hour and a half in the middle of the night because you have provided the incorrect and incomplete information.

understanding the 24hr clock and you arrival date:

When you cross midnight you are in a different day/date. You may take off on one date but you land on another. Your booking will have a little +1 on the flight details.

If you book months/weeks in advance we cannot see the arrival board to check, and can only see on the day (maybe day and half before). if you have provided the incorrect information and others have booked giving the correct information that is on your toes.

Unless you specifically state a.m. or p.m. on your booking the 24hr clock applies. 02:30 is not 14:30.

Hi All,

We haven't posted on Social Media for a bit as we haven't felt the need to however please be advised for the next three months we will be concentrating on Airport and City Centre transfers along with Contract work only. We will advise when we are in a position to open up further on the general side.

Due to holidays we have no further availability from Thursday 17th July to Thursday 31st July (inclusive). We are only taking on what we can cover bearing in mind we need sleep too, so once its gone its gone.

We kept our airport rates the same as last year so for standard estate car
£34 - Short Stay 2 free drop off (approx 100yards from Terminal)
£38 - Main terminal car park (includes the £5 gate charge, we absorb the £1)

This is based on one pick up and direct run to or from Ashington.

Multiple pick ups or 5,6 seater rates available upon request.

Newcastle City Centre £35 (on same basis as above).

As always cash preferred however the cars do carry card machines.

for all existing customers a share would be appreciated.

Hi all, our ‘out of office’ is on until the evening of Friday 18th October. All bookings relating to the next week (Friday 11th to 18th) are planned and allocated to John, Dan and Graeme. Unfortunately we are taking no further work on during this period. I’ve worked 7 days a week since June 2022 and only had one long weekend off since May 2023. The loss of my best mate combined with heavy workload and other changes over this past year have taken its toll and I need a break from all things work related for my own sanity so I won’t be answering messages until I return unless it relates to a booking during this period. Other than the pre-booked contract and airport work already in place for tomorrow unfortunately we will not be answering calls and messages or taking anything further on for tomorrow from 09:00 until 19:00 as I’m attending the funeral of a close friend. Thanks for your understanding.

Unfortunately we will be shutting the operation down for 4 days 14th-17th June as Graeme and I are in Germany for the opening weekend of the Euros, so Neil will be covering here but only covering the contract work and airport transfers already booked in. We won’t be taking anything else on. I’ve worked solidly including my employed job for over a year now without a holiday and I need a break.

normal service will resume from Tuesday 18th as I return to the UK late on the 17th after seeing England v Serbia.

Hi all, due to house move we can’t take any same day bookings (or at least we will struggle to but obviously will do what we can) this coming week so any requirement you need we need to plan well in advance (at least the day before) as I’m out of the loop. Any booking already in is good to go.

So this will be after Saturday night. Anything for Sunday forwards until next Friday when the completion date is. Thanks for your patience.

Cancellations:

We accept that cancellations happen, that is part and parcel of the game we are in and that on occasion certain things are out of your control. We do not charge when this happens however.....

If it becomes a habit, or we are constantly messed around with bookings at very short notice without good reason we will exercise our right to refuse you any further bookings for the following reasons:

1) We (myself, John, Graeme, and Neil) give up our nights so you can have one. The money is irrelevant as we would rather not have to work Friday and Saturday nights too, so we can go out with our families and friends.

2) When we commit to your booking we honour it even if a better booking comes along which would work out better for us (I can name a firm who you all moan about that would take that better booking and drop yours).
We also have to refuse others a car due to bookings already in (yours) if the work load becomes too much.

3) It may be the case that we ask a driver to work/give up his night for only one or two jobs in order to help us out in providing the service we do....when jobs start cancelling that driver could end up being brought in for nothing.

4) We are a small business and do not have the luxury of the customer base or vehicles as some and it is hard enough getting drivers to want to work evenings if they don't have to, as they would rather do contract work through the day.

It may take us a little bit longer to get there but we will end up with a customer base that suits this business. A customer base who respect what we do for them at the rates we charge to get them safely home. I will have no hesitation in losing those who don't treat us fairly as we do them.

Hi All,

we decided to keep our airport and city centre prices the same at New Year.

However we will be implementing a price increase from April 1st (No this isn't an April fool). Airport and city centre bookings made before 31st March for beyond April 1st will remain at the current price.

Just a reminder currently we are offering:

Ashington/Newbiggin to short stay 2 free drop off point - £30
Ashington/Newbiggin to the main terminal car park - £34
Ashington/Newbiggin to Newcastle - £30

these are flat rates 24hrs a day 7 days per week based on a direct run to or from one address (one pick up, one drop off).

We have no capacity to take anything further on for Saturday 16th March. Bookings made prior to this message are all good and arranged but we cant squeeze anything more in tomorrow. Apologies. We are a driver short as Im taking a much needed and deserved day off.
