CELEBRATING 14 YEARS OF DEEP SOUND CITY

Round numbers mean nothing. We felt like celebrating all the years of promoting shows with all of you without whom none of this would've happened. Come by everyone's favourite coop and party with us and this very special Line Up:

LUNA VEGA

Luna Vega’s first studio efforts involved just a preset drum machine accompanied by an old Vermona organ, often nodding to the 70s proto-electronic pioneers. Since then, the project has expanded intoa live band driven by repetitive drum machines, multi-layered organs, wonky synths, and 90’s psych revival guitars.

NEUKÖLLNER SPEED DATING CLUB

A big, fat funeral for the friendliest band in Leipzig. With All My Friends Are Drug Addicts EP coming out next year, this is supposedly the last show of the post-band’s drone-pop era. As master Kjell Höglund put it: “Everything must endlessly die / And always be reborn.” What’s next — a post-drone pop-band? Only your god of choice knows.

SACRED BUZZ

The 4-piece psych garage band from Berlin materialized in the summer of 2023 and became soon known for stirring up Berlin’s psych underground scene with their mesmerizing blend of raw energy, kaleidoscopic patterns and psychedelic rhythm.

NIENTE

The new Post-Punk outfit Niente from Leipzig delve deep into topics of the bleakness of modern live carried by their bilingual texts and melodious yet stark songwriting.

WANDAR (Black Metal) // CORRODE (Black,Thrash,Black) // Neun Welten (Dark Folk)

WANDAR

CORRODE

Berlin’s Corrode are a relentless force in the black thrash underground, fusing searing speed
riffs with raw, blackened aggression. Emerging from the heart of Germany’s capital in 2019, the band channels the fury of early thrash with the bleak intensity of secondwave black metal.
Their debut self titled demo, released via Black Warcult Productions, delivered a ferocious
statement of intent strippeddown, uncompromising, and steeped in an oldschool ethos.
Corrode’s sound is defined by savage guitars, pummeling drums, and vitriolic vocals perfectly
crafted for fans of bands like Aura Noir and early S***m. Their live performances are raw and visceral, creating an atmosphere of chaos and catharsis that leaves no audience untouched.

NEUN WELTEN

"The arrangements are so carefully, masterfully layered that Neun Welten manages to create a
sense of majesty without burdening the listener under blankets of heavy sound.”
