Hello to my valued clients and customers!!

During this past year, I have had the pleasure of serving so many wonderful people and hauling their freight!!

I’ve have been asked to haul varying items, from vintage vehicles, to farm machinery (including fully restored machinery), construction equipment, sand, an antique wooden canoe and everything in between!!

Many of you have become valued repeat clients, also referring friends, family and business associates my way.

I truly cannot adequately express, how grateful I truly am!!!

Now with that being said, I will be taking a well deserved vacation with my amazing wife, absolutely kid free (teenagers 😉)…Yay for us!! 😁

I will be back in my truck around April 24th. Then hit the road once more eastbound toward Winnipeg (with that cool canoe). From there I am tentatively booked to North Carolina. Depending on how large that freight is, I may have some extra room left over! After that, back to Canada, then I plan to head to Texas for another repeat client!!

So, May is starting to look very promising!! You may message me if you have anything you’d like included, or shipped. However, I won’t be able to answer until home, as I have promised myself & my wife, a complete break from business!! 😉

So I will leave you all some cool photos of my many adventures!!

Cheers!!

On Saturday I came across a fellow pilot driver, John Kleen of Kleen’s Pilot Car Services, that broke down, along with his load up in Grassland. Unfortunately his truck parts weren’t available until today at the earliest.

I’ve been in almost the identical position as John and another driver helped me. So, I felt I could pass that forward to them. Besides, if I can help, I wouldn’t leave a fellow driver stranded without at least checking if they were alright.

The semi driver, Mika of Bowline Logistics Ltd., was accepting that he’d lose the time, but he was as cool as a cucumber. I asked him how many log hours he had left to drive to Ft McKay. I also asked if the permit allowed travel at night if needed.

Since I was not far from my destination and not unloading until Monday, I offered my Pilot services, so they could complete their job as scheduled. I dropped my trailer and left it with John, then piloted Mika to Ft. McKay. Then turn and burned back to my trailer in Grassland.

In the end, two fellow drivers, their companies and their customers were kept satisfied. The big plus for me, is that I made some very valuable connections in the industry!

Well, it was bound to happen… WINTER is here!

Last night, I left Fredericton, with plenty of driving hours. However, after less than an hour’s drive, I decided to finish my day early at Meductic, because of a snow storm. The roads were completely snow covered and even with the truck in 4x4, I felt slipping & sliding.

So, that’s was my day done….finished….finie. No load is worth losing my equipment, let alone losing my life.

Anyway, stay safe out there and keep the shiny side up!

A look back at our maiden voyage, with my old truck Big Red. It was our very first load as a new company, ultimately heading to Ontario. I put together a great LTL load, for multiple customers.

In the box was a really LARGE concrete saw, which was the very first pick up for us as a new company. Technically, our very first customer!!

The car is a RARE Mazda RX7, with left hand drive (most of the imported RX7's were right hand drive from Japan), which went to a great customer in Winnipeg. Incidentally, he was our first repeat customer too!

The antique dirt bike was for a fellow in Ontario, who was gifted it from a family member in Alberta. He said that he remembers riding it when he was a kid. Now he has plans to completely restore it and have it for his kids as they grow.

Along the way we saw an Amazing sunset in Manitoba. We also stopped along Lake Superior, because Jesse had never seen it, nor been any further east of Sask.

Oh my….The deal is finally finished and I’ve taken delivery!!

It’s such a beautiful rig and it will keep Brownell's Pilot & Hot Shot Services Ltd. moving forward to a bright future!!

Thank you to the folks at MGM Ford Lincoln, for facilitating this acquisition for my company!!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Cody Aldrich, the amazing salesman, who worked hard to find me a replacement for Big Red!!

THANK YOU, also to Brendan MacKenzie in the finance office, who went above and beyond to put together the right lease plan.

My biggest THANK YOU is reserved for Loreen, my amazing wife & partner, for your support and encouragement during this most challenging process of starting a new business. I know that it is very exciting, but also very scary, uncertain & concerning all at the same time. However you believe in me and I will do my very best, because of that!!

The future sure is looking bright for finding success with our new adventure in life!!
