We’re deeply proud of our volunteer driver Frank Black. He’s been given the Motorsport Austalia Service Award for outstanding contribution to motorsport. Who knew that for the last 24 years Frank has been Chief Scrutineer for two major Australian rallies - responsible for ensuring hundreds of competing cars meet technical regulations, safety standards and are safe to resume after incidents. His team checks, inspects, reports and sometimes impounds. All under the pressure of high competition over many days. OK Frank, we now know we underutilise you!!

At EV Strengthening Communities, and particularly within our EV Community Transport team, we are proud to provide compassionate and professional volunteer drivers who often support older people within the community. Our team comes from many walks of life, but they share one common goal: to provide quality care with kindness, respect, and compassion to those enjoying the golden years of their lives.

Older people have so much wisdom, stories, and life experience to share — and forming connections with them benefits everyone. Friendships with older members of your community can bring joy, laughter, and perspective into your life, while helping them feel valued, connected, and supported. 🩵🤍🩵

This International Day of Older Persons, we encourage you to reach out to an older neighbour, friend, or community member. A simple visit, phone call, or shared cup of tea can make a world of difference — for them and for you ☕🫖☕
