Are you an experienced logistics professional ready to take the lead in a fast-paced transport environment?

Apex Freight is seeking a reliable and organised Fleet & Despatch Manager to coordinate the daily operations of our fleet of 8 trucks. This is a hands on role involving daily truck run planning, despatch coordination, and overall fleet management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Daily planning and scheduling of local and regional truck runs
• Managing driver despatch and communication
• Ensuring timely and efficient freight movements
• Maintaining compliance with BFM (Basic Fatigue Management) and all relevant transport regulations
• Liaising with drivers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations

What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in fleet, transport, or despatch management
• Strong knowledge of BFM compliance
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Great communication and leadership abilities
• Familiarity with transport/logistics software (preferred)

TRUCK DRIVER POSITION
Fit & enthusiastic person required for delivery truck driving & unloading.

THE ROLE:
Role Base: Starting from Maryborough, Queensland
Role Type: Mostly early-start day trips (home every night)
• Complete all necessary associated documentation
• Take good care of vehicles / plant under your care
• Ensure compliance with all safety, fatigue management (BFM), heavy vehicle
operating guidelines, loading requirements, axle weights, adhering to vehicle
specific permits
• Operate tablet device and any other systems as required & provided
• Must be acclimatised to heavy outdoor work.
• Experience with Truck and Dog Work
ABOUT YOU:
To be considered for the role you must have the following experience:
• MUST have a Current HC/MC heavy vehicle licence.
• MUST have a current HIGH RISK Forklift ticket & Moffett Mounty experience.
• Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
• Ability to work well within a small team environment
• Must have truck and forklift driving experience.
• Prepared to work in the despatch yard / factory areas sometimes.
• Prepared to work varying hours.
• Flexible start & finish times.
