Want to know how to Value-Add to your grassroots cattle enterprise?...

THE CLMS CATTLE EVALUATION FIELD DAY - 24th August in Romsey!

Join us at Red Poppy Estate (ROMSEY) for a day of learning which will equip you with the knowledge and practice in evaluating cattle using the Classic Livestock Evaluation System.

Gerald from Classic Livestock Management Services will teach us to analyse certain indicators to assist in selection of tender, fertile, consistent and balanced cattle.

BY CONSIDERING THE FOLLOWING:
* How to build consistency into your herd.
* How to identify the keys to increasing fertility in your herd.
* The relationship between feminine and masculine traits.
* The importance of good hormonal activity in your animals and how to recognise the key indicators for it.
* How hormonal activity affects an animal’s overall performance and general health.
* How to select cattle for tenderness of meat on the hoof.
* The importance of cows that produce high quality milk.
* How to recognise the indicators of milk quantity and quality in both cows and bulls.
* How to “read” a bull’s sc***um as the mirror to his daughter’s udders.
*How to measure the main parts of an animal to identify their overall balance

IS THERE VALUE IN THIS COURSE FOR YOU?
*If you increase your calving percentage by 2%+, would that cover the cost of this course for you?
*If you increased the number of offspring you sold in the first draft by 5% through greater consistency, would that be more profitable for you?
*If your herd were better feed converters and lower maintenance animals, would that be more profitable for you?
*When you are paid for saleable meat yield, which will start to happen in the next 2 years, do want higher yielding cattle?

For only $110 (with morning tea and lunch provided) this day course will provide you with all of the above and much more.

Please see attached flyer for more information and RSVP information! There are LIMITED SPOTS - secure your place now.

Together with Paola, Andrew & Gerald... John and I hope to see you there :)
