Respect and Morals
I may not be perfect, and I don't expect anyone to be! However, I may have likes, habits, or even a lifestyle that I know can affect others.
So, I do my best to try and ensure no one is upset by my actions. I'm the first to jump in and help out if I can. That's just who I am!
I once had a band set up in my shed. I would talk to my neighbours occasionally to make sure I wasn't upsetting them with any noise (I was informed it wasn't an issue).
The boys and I have a ball driving our go-carts around the yard (which can be a little noisy and dusty). I would wet the dirt to try and keep the dust down and to not upset anyone.
The dogs will be dogs and bark on occasion, but I'm straight on to it as to not annoy anyone.
It seems to me that even though I will go out of my way to treat others with respect, I still get treated as if I'm doing something wrong by them. We have a lifestyle that requires sleep and a little peace and quiet, just like we know others do. So why is it some seem to think that they are above showing the same type of respect we show?
Just my thought of the day.
