🐮 MEET THE JC LIVESTOCK CARTAGE FAMILY 🚛
We thought it was probably about time we properly introduced the little family behind JC Livestock Cartage.
John — the main man, driver, Boss Hog and the bloke who keeps the wheels turning. He runs a pretty tight ship… unless, of course, the fuel gauge is “broken” again. 👀
John has spent the majority of his working life around livestock. From working on stations in the Northern Territory, to sheep farms here in Tassie, and carting livestock for Page Transport, he’s certainly done his time around trucks and livestock.
When he’s not in the truck, you’ll usually find him researching what can only be described as lawn p**n, cooking unnecessarily expensive cuts of meat in the smoker (occasionally setting them on fire 🔥), or cracking a St. George and admiring said lawn.
Rewind a couple of years…
A lovely fellow business owner approached us with an opportunity to buy an old Isuzu — affectionately known as Suzi — along with a small client base carting bobby calves.
I’m fairly sure everyone thought we were mad.
Some days, I’m fairly sure they were right. 😂
But we gave it a crack.
That little Suzuki worked hard for us and helped get JC Livestock Cartage off the ground. Eventually, we were able to upgrade to a newer truck — with air con, woohoo! — and then came our shiny new Lumux crate.
We’re still a small family business, still learning as we go, and still very grateful every time someone chooses us to cart their livestock.
There are a lot of people who have encouraged us, guided us, answered our questions, recommended us to others and trusted John with their stock along the way.
And most importantly, a huge thank you to all of our customers who continue to support a small local business with their cartage.
So that’s us — JC Livestock Cartage.
